Softball (5-16 overall) has faced a rough start this season, but their effort on the field has stayed consistent.
The team has stayed focused on improving and competing, even against tough opponents. Team captain McKayLynn Baird, a senior, said that mindset has helped them push through.
“Even though we’ve faced some competition, our team shows resilience and keeps pushing to improve, staying competitive in almost every game,” said Baird.
The team is now focused on limiting mistakes and keeping their energy up throughout games.
“I would say our goals for the rest of the season are to shake off errors and bounce back to keep the energy up and have fun,” said Baird. “After mistakes and even good plays, we all need to hold each other accountable for our good and bad achievements to continue to have a good game.”
Despite the challenges, the team continues to focus on growth and staying positive each time they take the field.
