Sophomore ties his dad’s time at Woodbridge Invitational

Sophomore, Zion Ortiz, ties his dad’s time of 14:43 at Woodbridge Invitational. His dad, Germain, ran at the same time in 2003. He was a freshman in college. Zion Ortiz says, “The first mile I was doing fine, the second mile I would start feeling it, and the third mile I felt like I was going slower so I picked up the pace. ” His own personal quote that keeps him going is: “Today did not go according to plan but it did go according to life.”
