The Burros track team recently participated in the highly competitive Long Beach meet, where they put on a phenomenal performance. The team had been working tirelessly in preparation for this event, and their hard work paid off when they emerged as one of the top-performing teams of the meet.
“Last week I got a sub 5 minute in the mile,” said sophomore Chase Rogers.
“At our Long Beach Meet, my relay team got a amazing time for the 4×800. [Our time was] 9:01,” said freshman Oscar Moreno.
The team’s athletes were in top form. Their coaches had done an exceptional job of preparing them mentally and physically, ensuring that they were ready to give their best performance on the day.
“I always get nerves waiting and warming up for my race but when I get on the line I always take deep breaths,” said Moreno.
Additionally, the team’s spirit was evident throughout the event, with athletes cheering each other on and providing support when needed.
“[My] coach, my friends and team have pushed me to always get faster,” said Moreno.
Overall, the Burros track team’s success at the Long Beach meet is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and teamwork. The team has been putting in long hours of training and practice, and their efforts are paying off. Their coaches, teammates, and supporters are all proud of their achievements and look forward to seeing them continue to excel in the upcoming meets.
The Boys Tennis team has also been putting in a tremendous amount of effort in their training lately, and have had a strong start this season. The team’s coaches have been working closely with the players to ensure they are physically and mentally prepared to compete at their best.
The players have been pushing themselves to the limit, which shows in their performance. Their dedication and hard work have been paying off, with each player improving significantly in their game. The team’s spirit is also at an all-time high, with players supporting and motivating each other during practice.
Junior Parker Anderson expressed his excitement with the team’s performance.
“We have a lot of great new players that have really stepped up this year,” said Anderson
The Burros Boys tennis team is looking forward to the rest of the season and is confident in their ability to perform at their best.
They are determined to make it to state and bring home the championship. With their impressive training and teamwork, there is no doubt that they will be a force to be reckoned with.
