Burroughs introduces morning tutoring program

Burroughs students have a new resource to help them meet their academic goals this semester, with extra help now available before school in English and math.

“The goal of the program is to offer more opportunities for students to get assistance with their classes,” said Principal Carrie Cope. “Students tend to be busy, whether it’s extracurricular activities like clubs or sports. Lots of students arrive on campus early, so it’s the perfect chance for them to take advantage of this opportunity.”

The program is free for Burroughs students.

The tutors are eager to help, promising a stress-free, no obligation opportunity to get extra help and support. They encourage students to check it out. Tutoring is offered from 6:45 -7:30 a.m. Students can visit room D29A for English and M48A for math.

The program is in addition to lunchtime support offered in the Academic Learning Lounge (ALL), which offers a quiet place at lunch for students to work on homework, catch up on assignments, or come for peer tutoring.
