AP tests are quickly approaching for juniors and seniors. With a lot of pressure riding on these exams and endless studying leading up to them, AP students will need extra motivation to get through the week.
Key Club is providing just that with their most recent service project.
On April 30, Key Club held a meeting to put together goodie bags for AP students. They worked productively in small groups to package snacks in Zip-Loc bags during the lunch period. 213 bags were made in total and they were distributed to 13 AP classes.
The baggies contained nutritious snacks such as granola bars and brain bars. An array of jolly ranchers, gum, and starbursts was mixed in as well. Snacks popular among students like Cheez-its, Rice Krispies, goldfish, and fruit snacks were included, too.
Key Club President Xiomara Rivero arranged this service project and had this to say about the feedback they receive from students.
“From past years, the reactions have always been positive and they’ve appreciated our baggies,” said Rivero.
All in all, AP Goodie Bags is a very thoughtful service project and will give juniors and seniors a sweet treat and additional brain power for an extremely stressful week.
“It’s a Key Club tradition and we want to keep it up,” said Rivero.
