A busy week is in store for Burroughs, as they prepare for KOH as well as the Winter Rally.
ASB is working hard to ensure this year’s winter rally goes off without a hitch. This year’s theme is “Board Games.”
The spirit days for the week of Jan. 29 – Feb. 2 are: Twister Tuesday, Scrabble Day on Wednesday, Jumanji Day on Thursday, and Game of Life on Friday. For Twister Tuesday, freshmen wear yellow, sophomores wear red, juniors wear green, and seniors wear blue. For Scrabble Day, students will dress as someone or something that starts with the first letter of their name. On Jumanji Day, students can dress as a character from the Jumanji game, or like they are on a safari. For Game of Life, the freshman and sophomores dress like 10-year-olds or younger, and the juniors and seniors dress like they are 40 years old or older.
“It was hard trying to figure out the games for the teams,” said ASB member sophomore Kayleen Garcia. “I feel like ASB came up with some really cool games and I hope everyone has fun.”
The rally games will consist of many board games with their own Burroughs twist on them. After the rally, Burroughs students will prepare for KOH the very next day. KOH is expected to go amazingly as the ASB sophomores have been working around the clock to make sure the magic happens.
