FCA is starting their year off with a…dodgeball game?!
At their second meeting on Sept. 27, FCA leaders hosted an intense, yet spirited, dodgeball game for club members after their fellowship discussion and pizza lunch. The game was well received by members.
“[The] dodgeball game was very fun,” said junior Patrick Pillers
FCA is a Christian club that aims to bring together faith and sports. Their meetings consist of a fellowship discussion, a pizza lunch, and a group activity.
This school year, the number of FCA members has greatly increased. In order to accommodate the growing group, the club has moved to the gym and added more club leaders.
“The new leaders help us handle the larger number of people,” said junior FCA Leader Colin Pendergast. “[This helps us to] make sure everyone is included.”
The added space allows FCA leaders to plan bigger group activities during meetings. More members will create a more active community within the club. As a result, FCA leaders have big plans for the school year.
“We plan on hosting holiday huddles and off-campus events for the community to participate in,” said Pendergast.
Feedback from members has been overwhelmingly positive, indicating how much fun they are having at the meetings.
“I think the FCA leaders are doing great planning activities,” said Pillers. “[The meetings] are the highlight of my week!”
FCA meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month at lunch in the gym.
