As of press time, the Burroughs Varsity Volleyball team (25-3) is looking for a strong second half of the season.
“I am excited to see us play in the playoffs,” said Volleyball Captain senior Kaylee Cooper. “Hopefully we could make it past the quarter-finals this year and make it to the semi-finals.”
Cooper is optimistic.
“We have the potential to make it further in the playoffs than last year,” said Cooper. “We communicate and work well as a team together, so there is a good chance we will make it further.”
Varsity Volleyball is currently holding the second-place spot in the Mojave River League, with Oak Hills in first.
“This year, our team has had a really good chemistry on the court,” said Head Varsity Coach Stephanie Phillips.
Phillips notes that they all get along outside of the game as well, making them do better when on the court.
