For the past few months, my TikTok feed has been swamped with BookTok paraphernalia. It has been overrun by people trying to lower their “to-be-read” list, reshelving their bookshelves, and, especially, book recommendations.
Due to my book obsession, I have been saving these book recommendations from my feed for whenever I visit a bookstore. When I went back to school shopping with my dad in Lancaster, I convinced him to go to the Barnes and Noble bookstore and buy me a new book.
While in Barnes and Noble, I saw one of the books that has been showing up on my feed for months. This book was The Fine Print from the Dreamland Billionaires trilogy. After reading the first book, I just had to get the second and third books.
The Dreamland Billionaires trilogy by Lauren Asher follows three brothers as they attempt to earn the inheritance their grandfather has left them. Along the way, they also find the love and happiness they have severely been lacking.
In the first book, The Fine Print, the story follows the point of view of the youngest brother, Rowan, and a Dreamland theme park worker, Zahra. Rowan is given one of the most difficult tasks he will ever face, becoming the Dreamland’s new Creator’s Director and finding a way to renovate the park in just six months. During his journey to collect his inheritance, Rowan finds a happy-go-lucky saloon worker, Zahra, who will be his ticket to his inheritance and his happiness.
The second book of the trilogy, Terms and Conditions, follows the oldest son, Declan, and his trusty secretary, Iris, as they try to complete Declan’s task. Declan is a cold, unapproachable workaholic who has a hard time expressing his emotions. So, when given the task to find a wife and have a baby, Declan sees his only option is to turn to a marriage of convenience. But when his fiancée backs out at their party to announce their engagement, Iris steps in and assumes the role of Declan’s fiancée. While trying to find a mutual agreement for their marriage, Declan and Iris fight against their growing feelings for one another, which soon changes the entire course of their marriage.
The last book of the trilogy, The Final Offer, joins the middle brother, Cal, as he tries to deal with his harsh past. Being forced to spend a summer in their old lake house in Lake Wisteria before he can sell, Cal is forced to face his past mistakes. One of those mistakes was letting Alana, his ex-girlfriend from six years ago, go. As he battles with his growing alcohol addiction, Cal must find a way to sell the house and win Alana back. Even if he loses his inheritance along the way.
This trilogy has been one of my favorite trilogies I have ever read. I particularly liked how the story was easy to follow. After a busy day, it was exactly the type of book I needed. It was an enjoyable read, and had me giggling the whole way through. It was definitely a rollercoaster of emotions, but it was still worth the read. If you love reading romance series that follow different characters with different troupes, then this series is definitely for you.
