Burroughs sophomore Andy Ha has passion for computer science, finance, and more. This past April, Ha released Exaphy, his very own app, aiming to help students.
“[Exaphy is] a digital student assistant designed to help students from the moment they wake up to the last extracurricular and more,” said Ha. “The goal of Exaphy is to be the all-in-one student assistant; it is much more than a daily planner. Exaphy helps students build systems with seven powerful tools.”
These seven powerful tools include a daily planner to help organize your day and assignments, a grade calculator to help you effortlessly calculate your grades with “what if” assignments and more, a morning routine to build your personal routines, a notes feature to jot down your thoughts, store links and images in a repository section, a study section with tools to help build study habits, and a time management section with time management tools and methods of recommendation.
Upon its launch date in August, Exaphy had over 1,000 development hours, all coming from Ha. Since Exaphy is constantly changing, it continues to be developed approximately 15 hours per week.
Exaphy’s goal for the future is to continue to improve upon the features that they have, and in particular, adding features to fix “pain points.” Ha is also planning to add new features.
“Exaphy, being the all-in-one student assistant, is already a unique idea and we aim to continue to innovate,” said Ha. “For instance, in the future, we plan to add a ‘Flow’ feature for students to easily combine our tools to build systems.”
In addition to the value of the app itself, Ha sees value in the creative process itself.
“As a sophomore in high school with a passion for computer science, business administration, wealth management, and behavioral finance, Exaphy is essentially everything I have ever dreamed of,” said Ha. “Instances of teen entrepreneurship, like this, are particularly important because teenagers are the future of the businesses today and the businesses of tomorrow. Innovation and competition will continue with us.”
