Kyle Cox (Wood I-II)

What is your educational/professional background?

Twenty years in construction, building houses in the valley. I have my certificate in construction management, superintendent in Las Vegas.

What are you looking forward to about the year?

Wood projects, and seeing what my students are capable of.

What do you like about your subject?

That wood is never ending. You can always learn and make more. Also, helping students find a new passion for woodworking.

When you aren’t teaching, what do you like to do for fun?

I’m a drummer in my free time for fun. I also have four kids, so being a dad is time consuming

What is your favorite book or movie?

I don’t read books a lot but Stephen King’s “The Stand.”  Mostly I watch cartoons. I love cartoons.

What would surprise your students to know about you?

I’ve probably been in their houses multiple times. With how long I’ve been doing construction, I’ve worked on most houses.
