Just this last weekend, ASB held its first of three retreats for its membership for the 2025-26 school year. This year, there was a great influx of newer people, spurred by a larger senior class departure.
New members are especially present in the commissioner roles, which include Athletics, Sound, Sight & Technology, and more.
“I’m stoked to be a part of ASB,” said Morrison Doyle, who will be Commissioner of Sound. “I love music and this is a way I can turn that passion into something.”
Plenty of people are returning members, too. One such person is Benjamin Andrus, who is moving into the position of Commissioner of Athletics for his senior year.
“I am really excited to be in ASB again,” said Andrus. “I plan to continue Athlete of the Week because many seem to like it.”
Plenty of people are looking forward to the upcoming class, including the ASB advisor, Ms. Laura Larson.
“This ASB class has a lot of talent and great leadership abilities,” said Larson. “This will be Audrey [Robesky] and Kayleen [Garcia]’s fourth year in ASB and they are already showing great leadership skills. We look forward to fun events, spirit days, and laughter.”
The two longest-serving members, Audrey Robesky and Kayleen Garcia, are entering their fourth year since being freshmen co-presidents. Robesky will succeed Ryan Morrison as ASB President; Garcia will be Senior Class President.
The first major event of the next year, as always, will be the Kickback on the first week of school. The Blockbuster will be there to cover the Kickback, and all of the other events next year.
