The BHS swim team competed in its second meet of the season at the La Quinta Relay Meet on March 1, showing strong performances across multiple events. With several teams in attendance, the meet was a busy day for the Burros as they worked together in relay races.
Freshmen Deborah Robesky, Peyton Whiteley, and Elena Ramirez impressed onlookers in their first relay meet, contributing to the team’s overall performance. Sophomore swimmer Megan Ford shared that the team felt positive about their efforts.
“I would say that the meet was really fun and that everyone did really well,” Ford said. “I would definitely do it again and I am looking forward to our next meet at Quartz Hill.”
The Quartz Hill High School swim invitational is March 6. Burroughs will compete in its first league meet on March 27 in Apple Valley.
